Excessive pigmentation across the forehead and cheeks
Sometimes known as the 'mask of pregnancy'. This refers to excessive pigmentation across the forehead and cheeks which does not fade away during the Winter months. This condition most commonly affects women, particularly women who have had children or have been put on hormone treatment. This can be very difficult to treat and requires specialist assessment together with diligent sunshine avoidance.
Correct protection and a consultation about pigment reduction can be tremendously beneifical and is available here.
